Why Ethiopica coffee show?

Considered the cradle of Arabica coffee, Ethiopia is Africa’s largest coffee exporter and the sixth largest in the world.
Coffee accounts for a large share of Ethiopia's export earnings and employs more than 15 million people, making it an important commodity in Ethiopia. It is estimated that the Ethiopian coffee market will grow by 5.7% annually until 2027.
The main export destinations for coffee are Saudi Arabia, Germany, Japan, USA, Belgium, Sudan, South Korea, France, and Italy – in this order. (Coffee Annual, USDA - GAIN 2021)
Record-breaking coffee exports. In the first half of the 2024/25 fiscal year, Ethiopia exported over 200,000 tons of coffee, earning US$908 million. This performance underscores the country's strong position in the global coffee market. (ECTA - Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority)
Ethiopia aims to increase coffee export revenues to US$2 billion in the 2024/25 fiscal year focusing on expanding into markets like China. This strategic move presents opportunities for exporters and equipment suppliers. Since 2022, the amount of coffee Ethiopia exports to China has been growing at an average rate of 27 percent annually, according to recent data from ECTA.
Growth in roasted coffee market. The roasted coffee market in Ethiopia is expected to reach $695.2 million by 2030, growing at a 5.4% CAGR from 2024. This growth indicates a rising domestic demand for roasted coffee products.
